MANZANO CEO TO APPEAR ON KEY PANEL AT
6TH ANNUAL NATIONAL VETERAN

CORRALES – David Montoya – the CEO of Manzano Strategies, LLC -- will participate in a key panel at the 6th Annual National Veteran Small Business Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada in July.
Montoya will address convention attendees during the Legislative Panel General Session on Tuesday, July 20th, 2010. More than 3,200 attendees are expected to attend this year’s conference.
The conference is the largest nationwide conference of its kind and is designed to provide Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses with a series of educational and networking sessions to increase the company knowledge base of how to successfully do business with the Federal Government.
“I’m honored and excited to address the convention attendees about a subject which is near and dear to my heart,” said Montoya, an Air Force veteran who served three tours in the Persian Gulf. “I plan to share my vast knowledge of the legislative process and action-oriented ideas with convention attendees to help them understand how important government relations is, especially when your number one client is the US Federal Government.”
Other key speakers at this year’s convention include: Hon. Eric Shinseki, Secretary, US Department of Veterans Affairs; Hon. Hilda Solis, Secretary, US Department of Labor; Hon. Ray LaHood, Secretary, US Department of Transportation; Hon Joseph Westphal, Under Secretary of the US Army; and Joseph Jordon, the Associate Administrator fo the US Small Business Administration.
Montoya is a former national security legislative staffer for US Senator Jeff Bingaman from 2001-2004. He established Manzano Strategies in 2005 after serving a key stint as the Chief of Staff of the Nuclear Weapons Program at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Montoya’s company is based in Sandoval County.
Manzano Strategies provides science and engineering consulting and information technology services and solutions to a variety of clients doing business with the Federal Government. The company also has a strong public relations and government relations business unit.
Other panels at the conference will discuss items of importance to veteran-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses with the Federal Government, including: contracting, marketing, legal issues, accounting, business planning, subcontracting, mentor programs and veteran servicing organizations.
