Background/Description
Manzano Strategies is looking for a motivated individual with a chemical, electrical, mechanical or nuclear engineering degree to provide DoD contracting support to the Air Force 709th Air Armament Systems Squadron. The position will provide technical and programmatic support in the area of Air Force owned Nuclear Weapon Systems Management. This includes support work to the Lead Project Officers in the areas of program management, technical studies/reporting, system acquisition, computation, modeling, simulation, and test planning, execution, analysis and critical technical review of DOE/NNSA and DoD studies, plans and analyses. The primary responsibility of the 709th Lead Project Officers is to coordinate between all applicable agencies and entities whom have logistic, design, or technical responsibilities in daily operations of the AF nuclear stockpile. The applicant should have familiarity with the DOE National Laboratory management, decision making, and programmatic structure. A working familiarity and engineering-level knowledge of DOE weapon system specific programs including areas such as program planning, system development, life extensions (LEP), and system/component analysis is highly desired. A Master’s Degree is preferred but not required. Prior experience in DoD standard practices and interaction, particularly Air Force, is of particular interest.

Requirements
BS Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering. MS or PhD preferred.
Applicant must have active/eligibility for DOE “Q” level or DoD TS/SSBI/CNWDI/RD.
